Ivan T. Thornton
Ivan T. Thornton is the Founder and Managing Partner of Fiduciary Management Group (FMG). Prior to launching the firm in 2005, Mr. Thornton spent ten years at Credit Suisse where he was a Vice President and a member of the Chairman’s Council. Mr. Thornton’s 30 year professional career includes more than seven years at Morgan Stanley as a Vice President and Financial Consultant (member of the President’s Council), and three years as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Thornton is often called upon to execute asset allocation strategies, manage lump-sum distributions and counsel wealthy individuals and families, pension funds and endowments. Mr. Thornton is recognized for his top quintile portfolio performance and his emphasis on fiscal responsibility.
Mr. Thornton received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Stern School of Business at New York University, and his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from Howard University. Mr. Thornton is an SEC Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).
Jennifer K. Rosado
Jennifer K. Rosado is an Operations and Management executive with 25 years of experience in the finance industry. In her role she develops and implements systems and procedures in accounting, client reporting and business continuity. She has worked and consulted with major financial institutions including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley. Ms. Rosado’s experience has built and refined her strengths in strategy implementation and critical thinking.
Ms. Rosado received her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School and her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and Spanish Literature from Wesleyan University.
Braynard “Bobby” Brown
Braynard“Bobby” Brown is the Director of Client Engagement. At FMG, Mr. Brown manages relationships with professional athletes and sources relationships with college endowment and pension funds. Prior to joining FMG, Mr. Brown held an institutional sales role in the asset management group of Rockefeller & Co. Mr. Brown began his 20-year career in financial services as a sales & trading associate at MF Global.
Mr. Brown received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Notre Dame., Mr. Brown received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Yale University.
John H. Howell, CPA
John H. Howell has over thirty-five years of experience working with small businesses and individuals to address their accounting, tax and financial planning needs. Mr. Howell’s career includes 26 years with Ernst & Young, LLP (Tax Partner) and American Express Financial Advisors Inc.
Mr. Howell received his BA in Accounting from Queens College and his MBA in Taxation from Pace University. A Certified Public Accountant in New York State, Mr. Howell has memberships with the New York State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
Bury Barbier specializes in addressing retirement and income planning challenges for clients. Mr. Barbier brings a strong knowledge of developing long-term retirement income plans that take into account market risk, longevity risk, withdrawal risk, and inflation risk. Mr. Barbier started his career as a Financial Consultant with Morgan Stanley in New York City. He brings more than 17 years of financial consulting and wealth management skill to clients desiring outstanding, independent investment advice and a well-planned financial future.
Mr. Barbier received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University. He holds the Series 7, Series 66, Series 63 along with Life and Health registrations. Mr. Barbier and is a member of the IARFC (International Association of Registered Financial Consultants) and holds the RFC® (Registered Financial Consultant) designation.
