Ivan T. Thornton
Ivan T. Thornton is the Founder and Managing Partner of Fiduciary Management Group (FMG). Prior to launching the firm in 2005, Mr. Thornton spent ten years at Credit Suisse where he was a Vice President and a member of the Chairman’s Council. Mr. Thornton’s 30 year professional career includes more than seven years at Morgan Stanley as a Vice President and Financial Consultant (member of the President’s Council), and three years as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Thornton regularly executes asset allocation strategies, manages lump-sum distributions and counsels wealthy individuals and corporations. Mr. Thornton is recognized for his portfolio performance and emphasis on fiscal responsibility.
Mr. Thornton received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The Stern School of Business at New York University, and his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from Howard University. Mr. Thornton is an SEC Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).
Bury Barbierspecializes in addressing retirement and income planning challenges for clients. Mr. Barbier brings a strong knowledge of developing long-term retirement income plans that take into account market risk, longevity risk, withdrawal risk, and inflation risk. Mr. Barbier started his career as a Financial Consultant with Morgan Stanley in New York City. He brings more than 17 years of financial consulting and wealth management skill to clients desiring outstanding, independent investment advice and a well-planned financial future.
Mr. Barbier received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University. He holds the Series 7, Series 66, Series 63 along with Life and Health registrations. Mr. Barbier and is a member of the IARFC (International Association of Registered Financial Consultants) and holds the RFC® (Registered Financial Consultant) designation.
Jennifer K. Rosado
Jennifer K. Rosado is a Sales, Marketing and Education management executive with over 19 years of experience in the finance industry. Ms. Rosado has worked with institutional and individual investors to better understand and take advantage of financial growth opportunities. She has worked and consulted with major financial institutions like Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and UBS Financial Services. Ms. Rosado’s experience has built and refined her strengths in strategic, critical thinking, business growth and development, financial and business-building education, and leading and motivating outperforming teams.
Ms. Rosado received her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School and her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and Spanish Literature from Wesleyan University.
John H. Howell, CPA
John H. Howell has over thirty-five years of experience working with small businesses and individuals to address their accounting, tax and financial planning needs. Mr. Howell’s career includes 26 years with Ernst & Young, LLP (Tax Partner) and American Express Financial Advisors Inc. Mr. Howell received his BA in Accounting from Queens College and his MBA in Taxation from Pace University. A Certified Public Accountant in New York State, Mr. Howell has memberships with the New York State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
Kimberly B. McLain
Kimberly B. McLain is a Certified Public Accountant with several years of experience working with large and small corporations on their corporate advisory and financial reporting needs. Ms. McLain is responsible for FMG’s Investment Banking activity. Ms. McLain has worked previously as an Investment Banker with Credit Suisse and a public accountant with KPMG LLP.
Ms. McLain holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from the University of South Carolina and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University.
